Arising out of Pelagic Records' infamous sludge and post-metal universe, the two belgian bands POTHAMUS and HEMELBESTORMER are putting together their unique approaches on advanced metal genres to create an evening which will be looking for its equal regarding massiveness of sound.
Because which place could be better to put such avantgard'esque takes on extreme metal into the right perspective than the halls of Blitz Club. The HiFi sound system and audiophile design of the room will be able to show the beauty of dark sounds like doom metal in it's full dimensions – the filigree layers of these songs will be arising out of a crushing sound wall in all their complexity. So what happens if you use stunning sound techniques and the art of room design to present a different approach of loud and extreme music? – Come and find out with us!
Also we're very happy to welcome Dragunov as special guest for the show with Pothamus and Hemelbestormer in Munich, alongside 4NDREAS Konzerte & Noise Raid jumping on as promoters. Keeping an underground scene alive and together isn't always easy, but crucial for a vibrant subculture – especially if the scene is rather small… In this case on the 10th of april I'll be joining forces with Andreato make all three performances happen on one evening, so nobody will have to make a hard decision here!

Mixing music and metaphysics, sludge/post-metal band POTHAMUS takes you on an enchanting trip. Based in Mechelen, Belgium, this three-piece ensemble formed in 2013 and has been captivating audiences with their unique blend of repetitive riffage, floating drones, tribalesque percussion, and abrasive bass lines ever since. In Pothamus’ enigmatic world, the search for meaning stands central. Whilst blending eastern philosophy and western esotericism into a unique ontology, the band returns to the fundamentals of music: coming together and drifting away. Pothamus’ sound is a sonic exploration, creating an immersive experience that transcends the ordinary and delves into the profound.

HEMELBESTORMER, a Dutch word which can be roughly translated as “Sky Stormer” or “Attacker of Heaven” and used to describe someone with revolutionary thoughts and ideas, is a Belgian four piece composed of dedicated veterans from the hardcore, doom and black metal scene.
Since 2012, their unique blend of instrumental post doom and various other genres has been visiting the furthest corners of the universe, passing black holes, nebulae and mysterious, blue ring-shaped galaxies and mesmerizing listeners all over the world. Always looking for balance between the light and the dark, the crushingly heavy and the eerily beautiful, Hemelbestormer’s songs, both monolithic and multi-layered, captivate the vastness and enormity of space in all its aspects. They provide a trip that will melt your mind and alter your consciousness.
2025 sees the release of their 4th album “The Radiant Veil”, a sonic masterstroke of heavy riffs, haunting atmospheres and striking melodies that goes beyond all previous works.

The French duo DRAGUNOV is exploring the edges of instrumental post-metal since 2013. Influenced by Mantar, Russian Circles and Cult Of Luna, they are depicting some immersive soundscapes inspired by the soviet era. Their 3rd album 'VEPR', a tribute to Ukraine, was released on December 6, 2024. In around 100 shows, they played with Brutus, Ufomammut, Mutoid Man, Psychonaut...
